ProxDot, making sound tangible

Snapshot From the Prototype VideoSnapshot From the Prototype Video

ProxDot is an interactive pin created as a result of an experimental Tangible Design 2018 at Estonian Academy of Arts. As a team of people from different cultures and backgrounds (Canada, Estonia, Turkey); we were inspired by the fact that personal space is much bigger in Estonia compared to our countries. We have chosen sonic interactions as output and proximity as input for Arduino. So, our bodies become the instrument that would provide sound via e-pins. Concept produced by Nesli Hazal Oktay, Maret Ringmäe and Michael A. Fowler.
